Here's what we've accomplished this week:

  • Dialogue Branching: Implemented conditional dialogue branching, allowing for dynamic response options based on specific conditions like player stats, completed questions, or other triggers.
  • Multiple Conversants: Enhanced the dialogue controller to support multiple conversants, with automatic camera zoom and mouth movement synchronization based on the speaker.
  • Model Improvements: Improved character posture and movement. Identified and slated for fixing graphical issues with model flipping affecting visual elements.
  • Plot Progress: Made substantial progress on the plot's rough draft, aiming for completion next week.
  • Inventory Interactions: Implemented mechanics for interacting with inventory items through dialogue, and ensured NPC and dialogue continuity across levels.
  • Graphical Fixes: Addressed several graphical issues, including character animations and background inconsistencies. Optimized memory usage by dynamically managing character model features.
  • New Clothing Set: Reviewed and prepared for integration of a new clothing set, confirming compatibility with existing character models.
  • Tower Defense Prototype: Developed a playable tower defense game prototype, experimenting with physics-based enemy movement and pathfinding on a hexagonal grid.
