Hello everyone,

I’m Sybil, I’m the lead Unity developer behind SOULCOOM and I will be writing some of the dev logs moving forward. This week we wanted to experiment with additional ways of injecting fun and challenge into the game, as well as experimenting with additional ways in which two characters could battle or have some kind of combat. We settled on trying out a physics based symmetrical tower defense concept.

You need to battle against your opponent by placing walls to block the enemy; placing defenders on top of those walls to defend against enemy creeps, or placing attackers on the walls to spawn creeps that attack your enemy. These towers also have elements associated with them, which determines the effectiveness of defenders' attacks against creeps. You can also upgrade these towers, which has a unique effect for each kind of tower.

These systems have already undergone many revisions, and they will doubtless continue to undergo even more changes. So please help out that process by sharing your thoughts in the discord or by supporting us on patreon. We have a ton of new stuff planned so check us out over there!
