Devlog Update: Time System, Work Outcomes, and Dynamic Sprites

Hello and welcome back.

Story Mode Progress:

  • Clickable Dialogue Boxes & Time System: Implemented dialogue boxes that act as entry points for jobs or interactions with objects of interest. The day/night cycle is now functional, with specific jobs available at set times throughout the day.
  • Work Reputation & Ranking: Introduced a reputation system where players can rank up based on job performance, unlocking new opportunities and rewards.
  • Sleep Functionality: Added a sleep button at the hideout to advance time and cycle through days.
  • Dynamic Job Outcome Sprites: Reviewed and integrated black-and-white sprites as rewards for job completions. We're developing a shader that will dynamically color these images based on player appearance, allowing for matching hair, skin and eye colors!
  • Stat & Relationship Screens: Continued refining these screens to provide comprehensive insights into player progress and social relationships.
  • Content Update in Gitmind: Updated all current bartender job possibilities, matched outcomes with appropriate sprites, and categorized them. Began work on aligning farmhand job outcomes, with more visuals or rewrites to ensure thematic cohesion.

Aligning Parallel with FPP

  • Syncing Face Features: We are aiming to sync the emotions and makeup effects across both cameras, the FPP and the original Parallel view. Taking some time but will feel like there's a deep sense of ownership across both cams.

New Sex Scene Testing:

  • Missionary Sex Scene: We are excited to announce that we are assembling the secondary Y-pen missionary penetration experience.

Upcoming Break: Devlog Hiatus

I’ll be taking a short break from devlogs until the week of November 26th for a spontaneous trip to Portugal. I’ll be in Lisbon and Porto, catching up on rest and good food. The team will keep pushing forward on the game in my absence, and devlogs will resume when I return. I also plan to share my Japan photos from last year's trip soon and will find a way to do so. While I hoped to release new content before leaving, there are still too many gaps to address realistically. Lot's of good content is brewing tho.
